Writing session

I'm giving myself a daily target of at least 1000 words. I'm up to 22000, but have been writing this on and off for 2 years. I thought 1000 didn't sound like a lot, but when you come to write it, it takes time. It's crazy how you agonise over sentences and even single words. It's 8:50 p.m., and I've just hit 1087 words. I'm going to keep going as I am mid-scene and want to get it finished.

It's Thursday tomorrow, so another day at home to make a dent in the word count. Then Friday, it is back to the day job teaching History. Still the last day of term, so 2 weeks off for Easter.
